Carl Zeiss LSM 800 is a laser scanning confocal microscope equipped
with two highly sensitive GaAsP PMTs for two
spectrally freely selectable detection channels and a GaAsP Airy scan
detector for super-resolution imaging. The microscope
is housed in an enclosure with temperature, CO2 and humidity
control for long-term live-cell imaging. Hardware
autofocus ensures stable focusing during long-term imaging.
Available
techniques:
- 3-dimensional confocal imaging
- Super-resolution imaging with Airyscan detector (1.7 x improved
resolution in all directions)
- Long-term time-lapse imaging of living cells (with hardware
autofocus and environment control)
Objectives:
- Plan Apochromat 10x/0.45 dry, FWD 2.0 mm, CG 0.17 mm (DIC)
- Plan Apochromat 20x/0.8 dry, FWD 0.55 mm, CG 0.17 mm (DIC)
- LD-Plan Neofluar 40x/0.6 dry, FWD 3.3 - 2.5 mm, CG 0 - 1.5 mm (DIC)
- Plan Apochromat 40x/1.3 oil, FWD 0.21 mm, CG 0.17 mm (DIC)
- C-Apochromat 63x/1.2 water, FWD 0.28 mm (for 0.17 mm CG), CG
0.14-0.19 mm (DIC)
- Plan Apochromat 63x/1.4 oil, FWD 0.19 mm, CG 0.17 mm (DIC)
[FWD = free working distance, CG = cover glass]
